I Believe Beautiful Clothes Are for Living In
I Believe Beautiful Clothes Are for Living In
There are dresses made to be admired.
And there are dresses made to be lived in.
I’ve always hoped Hannah Sophia would create the latter.
Some of my happiest memories have very little to do with what I was wearing. They are about the people I was with, the places we found ourselves and the moments that quietly became unforgettable.
A long lunch that turned into dinner.
A weekend away we nearly didn’t book.
An unexpected invitation.
A walk that lasted longer than planned.
A child falling asleep on my shoulder.
The clothes were never the point.
But somehow, years later, they’re often what bring the memory rushing back.
Perhaps that’s why I believe so strongly that beautiful clothes shouldn’t spend their lives waiting for a “special occasion.”
I’ve never understood saving the good dress.
Life itself is the occasion.
Wear it to lunch.
Wear it on holiday.
Wear it to the birthday party.
Wear it because the sun came out.
Wear it because today feels like a day worth remembering.
When I started Hannah Sophia, I wasn’t dreaming of wardrobes filled with endless clothes.
I was dreaming of wardrobes filled with pieces that would become part of people’s lives.
The dress that travelled to Italy.
The skirt worn every summer.
The wrap that always comes on holiday.
The piece your daughter borrows one day without asking.
The one that still carries a little story every time you put it on.
Fashion changes.
Trends come and go.
Life doesn’t wait.
So if there’s one thing I hope Hannah Sophia encourages, it’s this:
Wear the bow.
Say yes to the invitation.
Book the weekend away.
Dance a little longer.
And never save the good outfit.
Beautiful clothes are for living in.
Lots of love,
